AN EVENT celebrating the work of textile artists Gabby Deeming and Molly Mahon is coming to Stockbridge.

Meadow, an art gallery and cafe in High Street, will host a 'supper and talk' event with the two artists, where they will discuss their inspirations, the evolution of their designs and how they started their businesses.

Gabby founded Daydress, an ethical company focused on creating hand-block-printed and hand-woven dresses, tops and nightwear, as well as being the former director of House and Garden magazine.

Molly applies her designs of block prints, in which she turns images into repeat designs before carving and printing them, to fabrics, wallpapers and homewares.

The pair will appear at the cafe on June 6 in conversation, before guests can enjoy a three-course seasonal supper in the Mylo Gallery Rooms, as well as a chance to purchase the artists' work.

Gabby said: "We are really looking forward to our Hampshire pop-up which will celebrate all things blockprint.

"It makes a huge difference when people see our dresses in real life and can appreciate how beautiful the printing is, and what makes them different.

"The Gallery Supper and Talk will be a great opportunity for anyone who loves colour and pattern and is interested in the creative and practical processes of design and running a business."

Daydress will also run a pop-up shop at Meadow from June 5 to June 8, with gowns, dresses, blouses, stationery and bags available to purchase.

Mylo Art was founded by Kate Anniss in 2014 with the aim of bringing beautiful, decorative and authentic art to interiors.
